The Department of Qur’ān and Related Sciences of Darul Hidaya Da’wa College, Manoor in collaboration with the Fath-hur rahman Centre of Excellence for Qur’ānic Studies (FCEQS), organizes an academic conference on “Qur’ān Translations in Malayalam: Methodology, Narration, and Legacy”.
Our primary focus through this program is to equip the research scholars with a general consensus on the various narratives on Qur’ān Translations in Malayalam Literature.
The debate on the translatability of the Qur’ān considered as one of the most controversial issues in Arabic- to- other- languages translation. However, the rising of allegations and misconceptions spread over the globe on the translatability of the Qur'ān cannot be overlooked. Even from Kerala, we can see multiple intellectual discourses on the translatability of the Qur’ān among the jurisprudential scholars and Ulamas. So, the conference aims to highlight the discussions regarding the background, and characteristics of debate on the translatability of the Qur'ān . In addition to this, we aim to carry out discussions on Malayalam translations’ methodology, impact, and composition. We hope to host a wider platform for versatile scholars and academicians to impart various aspects of Qur’ān translation to researchers.
